Directions to the Mister Roboto Project

From the East/Monroeville: Take 376-West to the Wilkinsburg/Route 8 exit. Follow Route 8 into Wilkinsburg. Continue down the hill until you reach Center Avenue, make a left onto Center. Go to the third light on Center and make a right on Franklin. Follow Franklin for two blocks until you hit Wood Street. Turn right and Roboto is at the end of the block on the right-hand side.

From Oakland: Follow Fifth Avenue up towards Shadyside until you hit Penn Avenue. Turn right on Penn Avenue and follow it up into Wilkinsburg. You'll pass under an overpas and Wood Street will be at the second stoplight. However, since Wood is one way, you will have to continue to the next intersection, which is Center Avenue and turn right. Go to the third light on Center and make a right on Franklin. Follow Franklin for two blocks until you hit Wood Street. Turn right and Roboto is at the end of the block on the right-hand side.

From West Virginia/Columbus, OH/other places south of the city: Take I-79 North. Get off on I-279 North, which will bring you to the city. You'll go through the Fort Pitt tunnels and over the bridge. At the end of the bridge, youÕll get off on I-376 East towards Monroeville. Follow 376-East to the Wilkinsburg/Route 8 exit (You'll go through a second tunnel, the Squirrel Hill tunnel to get there). Follow Route 8 into Wilkinsburg. Continue down the hill until you reach Center Avenue, make a left onto Center. Go to the third light on Center and make a right on Franklin. Follow Franklin for two blocks until you hit Wood Street. Turn right and Roboto is at the end of the block on the right-hand side.

From Butler/Eric/Buffalo/Cleveland/other places north of the city: Take I-79 South. Get off on I-279 towards Pittsburgh. Take the Veteran's Bridge exit and after crossing the bridge, take the exit for I-376 East towards Monroeville. Follow 376-East to the Wilkinsburg/Route 8 exit (you'll go through the Squirrel Hill tunnel to get there). Follow Route 8 into Wilkinsburg. Continue down the hill until you reach Center Avenue, make a left onto Center. Go to the third light on Center and make a right on Franklin. Follow Franklin for two blocks until you hit Wood Street. Turn right and Roboto is at the end of the block on the right-hand side.

Coming by bus??? The following buses run from downtown, through Oakland, and arrive within several blocks of Roboto: 61A, 501, 71C, 71D. From Oakland, you can also take any 67 bus toward Wilkinsburg/Monroeville. Coming to Roboto from outside the city, the best thing to do is to catch a bus to downtown and then catch one of these buses to Roboto.
