(1) Introduction

(2) For Old Business, see minutes from May meeting.

(3) New Business

PR/Secretary (Jeremy Hedges)
-The membership list is currently up-to-date as far as new members are concerned. The next project with this list is to update contact information for all members, as well as encourage renewals among people who have not renewed for this year yet.
-The new email list is finally working! This new list allows updates to be sent on much shorter notice.

Finances (Q)
-Finances remained relatively stable. No major expenses to report.
-Balance: $3050

Facilities (Eileen and Eric)
-The zine library has been moved next door to the Big Idea/Free-ride/practice space.
-The demo review project is underway. Joe Wilk has taken a stack of demos to go through.
-Now that the zine library is no longer located in Roboto, we.re brainstorming ideas for the upper area of Roboto as well as ideas for artwork to display around the space. One such idea is acquiring a couch for the upper area. If anyone has ideas for artwork or other suggestions, please contact us.
-Eric is working on the hole in the right wall of Roboto. He also thanks everyone for helping to keep the space clean in his absence.
-We.re still in the process of assembling the computer for the space. Shecky moves ever closer!

Booking (Jeremy Carson)
-Jeremy couldn't make it to the monthly meeting.

(4) Open Forum
-Recently there has been a problem with show being cancelled and general irresponsibility on the part of promoters. This is particularly important during the summer time, as most out of town bands are looking for shows during this time. As a result of some of these difficulties, the board will be writing up a promoter packet to distribute to both new and old promoters. This packet will be in a Q&A format, addressing all of the issues that a promoter needs to consider. The board will present the packet at the next meeting for discussion and approval by the members.
-In addition to the promoter.s packet, the regular membership packet/website suffers from several inconsistencies and/or errors. The board will be reviewing the membership packet and presenting any changes that need to be made at the next meeting.
-Roboto Speaks has been on the DL for the past month or two. Expect a new issue soon!
-Adam McGregor presented the Flux event on June 29th for discussion. Without confirmation, Roboto was added to the flyers as a .sponsor organization.. Despite confusion about the reason this occurred, everyone decided this would be a worthwhile chance to inform people about Mr. Roboto. We will have a table at the event on June 29th and collect parts for Free Ride.
-An issue that Jeremy Hedges brought up is our interaction with the local community. It has come to his attention in the past several weeks that there are rumors being circulated as to the origin and operation of the Mr. Roboto Project - for example, that Roboto is a drug rehab clinic for teens. He proposed an open house to offer an open forum for the local community to come and ask questions and discuss the future of our space. The members present approved of an open house, and the date has been set for August 3rd. The event will go from 2-6 and refreshments will be served. If you have any questions or ideas for this event, please contact us.
-The issue of the monthly benefit show was once again discussed. The members present decided upon a $25 flat fee for one monthly benefit show, allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cause of these benefits would be subject to review if it were deemed questionable (ie, benefit for buying a new amp for a local band). A proposal for this change is being written and the proposal will be voted upon at the next general meeting.
-We're looking to create postcards, stickers and/or mugs for the Mr. Roboto Project. The kids love that stuff! So if you have any ideas you.d like to submit, bring them to the next meeting!
-Q brought up the topic of the annual punk picnic. People seemed interested in having this event. More information will be available closer to the undecided date for this event.

***The next meeting will be held Tuesday July 23rd at 7 P.M.***
