Open Forum/Discussion

- The Raffle. People chosen during the drawing for the raffle will be able to choose the prize they most desire. Jo Ma has volunteered to put together a nice poster. We should also put up a big sign at Roboto so as to encourage pre-sales. Flyers should also find their way to all of the locations making donations to the raffle. We discussed possibly selling tickets at some of the locations, but decided against it. We also need to hype the event/raffle up at each show before the Punks Picnic. Prizes from Pauls, Brave New World, Bodyworks, the Co-op, the Big Idea, Roboto (duh!), Emma, the Juice, Tom Chaible, Friend or Foe, Pianos N Stuff, John Roman, and Kiva Han have all been confirmed!
- The Punks Picnic. Emma has made a beautiful flyer! Jeremy will help distribute it. Jim volunteered to place the order at the Co-op, and Jen will be calling Simple Treat to order breads. Jeremy will be picking up the grill from Deannas house. - The building has been confirmed by the Mayor to in fact be $3000. We have received a lease that he prepared; however, the lease does contain some unclear language and spelling errors, so we would like to meet with him to go through the contract.
- Several people have expressed concerns over a number of the positions being lumped into the same election period. This seems unfair to place a majority (3) of the elections in the same month, limiting the amount of people able to participate in running for board positions. As such, we decided to stagger the current elected terms to allow for a more equal distribution. The positions will be up for election in the following months: Facilities (Jen), January; Finances (Q), March; Secretary/PR (Jeremy), May; Booking (Joseph), August; Facilities (Jim), October (meaning, this coming October).
- Joseph mentioned putting together biweekly events flyers and distributing them. Anyone interested in helping should contact booking@therobotoproject.org
